Thanks for bearing with me through the comics drought, folks. Hoping to slowly start getting back with it as personal and professional obligations slow down.

[FYI: those are Big Brown Bat (Eptesicus fuscus) sonograms above the little bat-recorder. I recorded them from my front porch a few years ago, when testing out some recording equipment. The “little swooshes” make me incredibly happy to see, because most of my research is based on them, and it’s just so amazing to witness sounds you can’t hear made by creatures zipping around overhead.)
